Then, after a nine hours flight, long, long, enduring flight, we leave Guangzhou, leave china and arrive in Melbourne, Australia, the place where we will live for the coming years, maybe for the rest of our lives. I oversee the city with complex feelings, excitement, worries, expectation and uncertainty. We get off the airplane and step onto the Australian land and finally, after all these years consideration and preparation, we start our new life in a strange country. It’s been very time and energy consuming for collecting our luggage and get through the security check. A jun welcomes us at the exit of the airport. We push the heavy luggage and sit in his white Toyota car. Fresh air, blue sky, white cloud and green trees, still the same as I came three years ago. After an hour’s drive, we arrive at our new home, a two storey building located in the suburb of Box Hill which is famous for its Chinese communities. The unit is very nice, with spacious kitchen and bath room, much better than I expected. We see the little room with my eyes! It’s not small at all! And most surprisingly, there is a huge set-in wardrobe in it. We can put most of our things inside. This is fantastic! A jun hurries to his church and leaves us to put things away and take a rest. We cook some noodles and start to put everything out, check the damages and put them in the right place. It looks like a room now. we take a rest on a single little bed. It’s not a comfortable bed but I have a sound sleep. It’s too tiring last night. In the afternoon, a jun takes us to have a look at the centro, a place full of things to shop, especially Chinese foods! That is really great news for me who was so worried about not being able to eat Chinese foods in Melbourne. It’s not far away, only ten minutes’ walk, very convenient! We take a walk at night after the dinner. It’s so quiet, only hear the birds’ singing.
